'Pathaal' is a local name for the shale rock that is used to cover the roof of the house. The characteristic of the rock to split into thin layers to reveal it's new self is concurrent with our theme of revealing something new from the lesser known 'Garhwal' , and inspired us to name the property "PATHAAL"

Nestled in the serene, lush green forests of Dehradun Valley, ‘Pathaal’ is one of a kind, architecturally crafted home, created with most eco friendly material using mud, stone, wood and loads of feelings and emotions aimed at conserving authentic Himalayan way of living in the Hills of Uttarakhand.

How to Reach Pathaal Rishikesh

By Air

Jolly Grant Airport (DED) at Dehradun is the nearest airport to Pathaal Rishikesh which is approximately 10 kilometres away and a 15 minutes drive. Popular carriers like Air India, Spice Jet and many others often have daily flights from New Delhi/ Mumbai/ Bengaluru/ Ahemdabad. Once you reach at the airport, you can opt for regular taxi or bus service which is easily available from Airport to Pathaal Rishikesh.

By Train

The nearest railhead to Pathaal is Rishikesh which is approximately 32 KM away and just 42 minutes drive. From their you can book a taxi or you can take local conveyance to Pathaal Barasi Grant, Raipur. Some of the popular trains are Shatabadi Express, Jan Shatabdi and Mussoorie Express. Next nearest railway station is Rishikesh at a distance of 25 KM and 35 minutes drive.

By Bus

Being popular tourist destinations, Rishikesh (26km from Pathaal) and Dehradun (23km from Pathaal) have a good network of buses connecting it with important places i.e. New Delhi, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh. Buses depart in the morning and late evening from the Kashmere Gate, New Delhi for Rishikesh & Dehradun every day. You can choose from a regular, deluxe or a luxurious coach.
