Brief history of the house: First built almost 75 years ago by our grandfather, this house made of mud and stone stood strong and gave a family a sense of security and growth. It endured the test of time and faced the changing seasons year after year till everyone in the family found their own homes. With a deep longing for our roots and the changing landscape of hyper busy city life, we decided to settle and restore our ancestral home the way that it existed. Built to its natural perfection, stone by stone, layered by mud and sweat, held tightly by nature's wood and the artisans craft, our ancestral home has now been restored and open for like-minded enthusiasts to visit and enjoy the simple life amidst a charming little village called Rawat gaon close to Pauri town in Uttarakhand. The village, once home to many local families, is rich in culture, flora and fauna suited to many fruits and vegetables.

The hilly village experience: The Homestay offers breath-taking view of the hills, authentic local pahadi food, hyper natural vegetables grown in organic setting. We encourage our guests to pluck their own vegetables from the fields. We also have beautiful trails, nature walk, a gushing water stream that will make you mesmerized. Local villagers are keen to welcome you and share stories of the simple pahadi way of living. For the religious and spiritual ones, a visit to our local temples will be enriching experience. Our house and surroundings are ideal places to relax and unwind from the stress of a hectic city life. Guests can indulge themselves in music, reading playing indoor games and other creative activities while the clear, cool breeze purifies your body and soul.
